A public citizen. (at long last rain!!!)
Sometimes.
Monday 4:00 pm: testified at yet another dog hearing at Parks and Rec. Preaching to the choir: the problem is behind the scenes dealing with the State, where they have reversed more than twenty years of policy, based on the lobbying of privileged newcomers.
Tuesday 3:00 am: First Flush! Expecting a monsoon, but what we got was a drizzle. Photos are here.
Tuesday about 3:00 pm: I will go vote No On Arnold, Yes on bothinadequate prescription drug plands, and Yes on money for schools.
The interesting thing about the Parks and Rec meeting was the tree hearings that came before the dog one. There were two of them, both palms, one a Mexican Fan Palm and one a Canary Island Date Palm. The people really wanted out from under those trees, but we have a Heritage Tree Law. The Heritage Tree Law says if the tree is over a certain size you cna't remove it without permission and it gives reasons that permission may be granted. "It's a pain in the neck and I can't afford to have it pruned" is not one of the reasons. Ot was really interesting to watch.
I'm very sleepy, being still sick as a dog, and having been up since three in thbe morning.
NanoShorts: I have almost finished a story I started yesterday, not a cheat, but an access of some kind: "Raining here, raining on the deep blue sea," about, naturally, rain in the middle near future. I can't see straight. Bed. Will arise to vote in less than an hour.
