You've given me some things to think about, Lucy. I've always thought of the anti-hero as a reluctant hero. He's not trying to be a hero, but either by circumstances or a sense of decency, he ends up doing the heroic thing. I write protagonists like that as well as more noble heroes, the ones who just do the right thing.
I prefer writing male characters than female ones -- the lust factor -- but your reasons for writing male protagonists really resonated with me. I'm going to be thinking on that for a bit. Great entry.
