today's . . .

I've gotten a nice little introduction but I have to go to bed now. I'll finish it in the morning.

What's a good antivirus program that is not Norton?

Norton usses too much computer.

I use Avast (http://www.avast.com/index.html).

It's free (for private use), updates frequently, and seems to play well with others.

I use AVG Free. It's been fairly good about playing with my (rather old and out of date) laptop. In terms of reliability, I haven't had any problems with it yet, and one of my friends who worked in tech support recommended it over Norton or McAffee. They're apparently updating it to a new (still free) edition in January, though, so I don't know if the user experience will be changing at all.

AVG is the company and Avast is the name of the software and I use it, too, so all three of us recommend the same thing. I've used it for a couple of years without any problems.
