I think it's a short story and not a treatment for a novel. A novel could be written about these guys, but I'd have to have a novel plot, and I don't, for them, at this time, though I bet I could if I wanted to, but I have other fish to fry.

I think, too, and this is more important, that it is a short story that works. I think I even got the ending about right. And for the record, so I remember what I did: I went and took something the Observed Protagonist said and made it into something the Observing Protagonist knew without him saying, so the impulse to act is all on Ing Prot, and it does what my nice friends at rasfc said it should do -- come into a circle shape. Actually, I think it's a Q: circles back, forms a closed curve, with an open curve dangling off the end.

And then -- there's no printer paper!!! I have to get dressed and go to the store before I can print it.

I moved the "seasons" gallery under "fecundity." Just because.

So the panel on education in sf at Potlatch is a go. Anybody have any ideas that I would miss?

Oh, and any minute I'm adding Arana Gulch to my pictures.

I put a gallery of pictures of Arana Gulch in under "seasons" which is under "fecundity." Distinguishing characteristic: rolling slopes down to a riparian, views of Loma Prieta (a mountain) and the yacht harbor. The park was saved from paving by the existence of a dinky little wildflower which is unique (we got a bunch of those around here).

Arm hurts. Stopping everything.
