we are the volunteers . . .

So tonight I am the Volunteer of the Year!
for the Coastal Watershed Council.
Because I am such the devoted volunteer!
And I am always there, testing the waters.

It's really quite cool. It has a beautiful metal frame and a heron and a frog on the paper.

However, I also ate cake.

On another note, belly laugh baby knows how to look peaked on a moment's notice. He can look really quite weary and worn when he's crying. Start singing, though, and nine times out of ten the bags under his eyes will disappear, theb hollows in his cheeks will fill out, the light will return to his visage, and he'll smile as broad as the bay. Until he thinks about how he wants a snack again, or sees some kid get a bottle: then he's Tiny Tim (the original) in a despairing mood. I've been thinking he'll be a dancer: but maybe he'll be an actor.

And my dog has turned blonde. How did she do that?
