Email I got from Frank's friend Sam:
Subject: Fwd: It ain't over until every vote is counted!
Friends, Colleagues, Handelmans, Union-Siblings,
Hello again.
The e-mail below conveys the current situation of the race very well,
I think. Sorry for anyone who already got a copy. For anyone who
doesn't know, I'm out in Ohio with my aunt while writing my thesis.
The fund-raising situation/law is complicated, but for a variety of
reasons we've established a new committee to handle our efforts to get
the provisional ballots counted. So, we need to raise a relatively
small sum of money quite quickly. In particular, this is a good
target race for anyone with an interest in organized labor - aunt Mary
Jo was one of only a few races targeted by anti-union independent
expenditures, so sending her to Washington would be an outstanding
first step in delivering on the employee free choice act (which is
going to be a huge battle), and this is a case where even a few modest
contributions might make a real difference in the outcome.

With 27,000 ballots still to be counted the race for Ohio's 15th
District is too close to call. Help me fight back -- click here to

I need your help. The margin in Ohio's 15th Congressional District is
razor thin, and they're still counting votes. More than 280,000
ballots have been counted and the race is still tied. The current
difference between myself and my opponent stands at only 149 votes.
With 27,000 vote-by-mail and provisional ballots still to be counted,
the race is way too close to call. That's why it's critical for us to
make sure all the votes are counted!

My opponent, Steve Stivers, has hired an election attorney and brought
in a team of lawyers to "watch" the locations where absentee and
provisional ballots are being counted. His team is doing everything
they can to challenge the votes of thousands of people who faithfully
cast their ballots.
In America elections and the right to vote are sacred. The process
needs to go continue. This election is not yet over and it won't be
until all the votes have been counted. I need your help to fight back.

In 2006 I gained 2,474 votes after all the provisional votes were
counted and came within 1,062 votes of beating incumbent Deborah
Pryce. This year there are even more provisional votes than 2006 and
I am confident once all of those votes are counted I will be declared
the winner of the race for Ohio's 15th congressional district.
There's too much at stake. It's critical we ensure all the votes are
counted in OH-15.
Please contribute to the Kilroy Counts Votes Committee Today!
As an individual, you can contribute up to $2,300 toward our effort.
Your previous contributions to the campaign do not count toward this
limit. Even if you have contributed the maximum amount to my campaign
in 2008, you can still make a contribution to Kilroy Counts Votes
Committee.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mary Jo Kilroy
