I got a new printer. There was nothing wrong with the old ones except that there were two of them and it was a hassle to get the one that could scan online to actually do any scanning.
So that inspired me to clean the "library."
Well.
I threw the seriously six inch pile of crap off the large desk and made a nice clear space there and I have thrown away a few things but I now have a seriously seven inch pile on the floor.
And I moved the cookbooks to a pile in the kitchen because I moved the little-things-like-pens-and-stuff drawer boxes from Ikea off the large desktop and into the overhead bookshelves where the cookbooks used to be.
This means I now have a very very large desktop and only one printer. But it means I have to find a new home for the cookbooks.
Perhaps the little shelf in the kitchen where I now keep the (surely undrinkable by now) wine I made a few years ago (the years since I Was Not Competent To Make Wine or Even Rice: I might be competent this year).
On another front, I read The Mysterious Benedict Society. It's good enough, and fun enough.
And: the dog does not stink! And neither does my house! (well, it still smells a bit dusty and doggy, but I am improving even that).
