Is Mark Silberstein still there at the Slough? We were at State together. He always loved that slough and would go down on weekends and hang out with the slough and poke around in Moss Beach. I thought it was a great thing that he was able to make the slough his life.
re the licorice plant: Helichrysum petiolare. Yup. That's it. Too bad. ... I'm pretty sure I'm not encouraged to plant invasive species even if they are something that'll grow in my deep dark shade.
