lj layout issue

What I want is a really simple and clean layout that has all the components and loads faster than the one called "component." My flist loads so slowly with "component" that I have been experimenting with simpler layouts but I lose things I want to have (like the edit entry and edit tags buttons, or the recent entries navigation which I can't seem to get to appear on the screen in the one called "clean and simple").

Who knows how to do this? I don't seem to be able to find a way to simply find the code for the things I want and plug it in the right place. I should study HTML more, but I'm a resistant old dog.

you could use a third party program like semagic
