All I want to do is write on this thing (I'm probably less than 6-7K words from the end of the draft). So -- watering the garden? picking up? sweeping? washing dishes?

No time.

On another front, I've been lightheaded a lot the last couple of weeks, but I haven't lost any weight in the last week (or maybe I have, but if I have, it's been maybe a pound or two -- I'm doing that bouncing around a core number thing again), so I don't think I can be eating too little in the scheme of things. So when I see the doctor on Monday ostensibly to discuss my bloodwork (I got a preview yesterday: good HDL, good LDL, but triglycerides still 219, which is way high and much higher than my reading two and a half hyears ago when I got my first normal lipid reading. I don't know why that should be. Anyway I think I mayu be in for another period of medication adjustment because of the lightheadedness. And mild, almost subliminal nausea, like when you're hungry or frightened.

A few years back, probably fifteen, now that I think of it, I was lightheaded and woozy for months on end. Docs checked for inner ear things, blood pressure things, &c. and so forth. I finally self-diagnosed myself as being dehydrated and started drinking far more water than what I had been. Did the trick.

More water might do you good.

"Normal triglyceride levels are below 150. Levels above 200 are high." according to the Kaiser FHP site. (I've been a Kaiser baby since 1959 and am one again, now that I'm self-insured.)

Yes, I had triglycerides below 150 two and a half years ago. I wonder how I had better numbers for them then? I think my other numbers are better now, but I don't have the paper in hand to compare.

I've been working on that, but so far two-three liters of water isn't doing it. So I don't know if that's it.

Well, seems you're okay water-wise. You drink far more water than I do these days. I am trying to develop a better habit.

My triglycerides are way down: 80. (I just went through a bunch of testing, can you tell?) I have no idea what makes one person's numbers high and another's low other than the usual: fat, alcohol, sugar intake, but on the whole, I suspect your diet is far healthier than mine is. When is the last time you skipped breakfast and were hungry at lunch so you ate a half-pound cheeseburger on toast with grilled onions and chipotle salsa? Yesterday for me.

The advantage to Kaiser is you can see all your labs online.

I don't expect you to have the weird non-water-processing that I do, but considering how physical your work is, maybe you need a rehydration product, too. The cheapest way to try it is to buy Crystal Light Hydration On-the-Go at the grocery. You get ten "sticks" of powder and provide your own water and bottle. Maybe that will help.

(I got an email from the rheumatologist on the KP website today and she said the C-Reactive Protein increase is probably the heat rash and not to worry.)
