Just now, that post about the drought?

LJ offered me as first choice the chance to post to personheadalighiera, whose journal I had been looking at through following friends' links for no reason. I didn't try to see if it would go through, because what if it did? It would cause problems for that person (who I don't know) and me. And then, would I be able to delete it?

I never noticed before that you could post to the communities where you have posting access from the "post an entry" page. In fact, I've never known how to originate a post in a community whatsoever, and so I never have, though I do actively participate in some once in a while by making comments.

But why did LJ momentarily think I had posting access in the account of an individual user whose journal I had only visited once?
