I am leaving for Prague on January 19.  I will arrive the evening of the 20th, and Gray Line Prague will take me to Hostel Klamovka, which is one tram stop from Frank's apartment (in the direction of downtown).  On Feb. 2, I repeat the process in reverse, though I will be stuck in Heathrow for eleven hours at night.

I'm not taking a computer, but I will be checking email and stuff on Frank's if I can master the Czechiness of it.

I'm going to go to the big Krtek store and stock up on mole-related items.  Also, opera, and multiple museums. The Astronomical Clock, of course.

Sorry to hear you'll be stuck at Heathrow. IIRC, there will be shops and restaurants open for much of it.

Looking forward to seeing your photos - have a great trip!

Lovely!

And yes, of all airports to be stuck in overnight, Heathrow sounds like one of the least bad.

Moles are cute and cuddly and feel like velvet, except for their paws. They seriously scratch. I'm told they can carry rabies, too, though I was lucky and the one that scratched me obviously didn't.

No you won't be stuck in Heathrow for eleven hours at night. You will be picked up and taken to my flat, where you can sleep in a Real Bed, and then taken back to Heathrow. How does that sound?

Have a good time!

Moles are cute -- except when they're burrowing under our front lawn. :(

Hope you have fun! The astronomical clock is the strangest thing. You'll hear it's anticlimactic, you'll read it's anticlimactic, but when you see everyone else standing around to watch, you just have to stand there and watch it too.

And you'll spend time with Frank! What a great plan!

(thanks to annafdd for offering a bed!)
