It's almost 3:30 am

For some reason I cannot make myself go to bed anymore.

It happens to me fairly regularly. I blame my inner 5-yr-old.

In my case, there are 2 possible outcomes: either my timezones go all the way around and I stay up later and later and get up later and later until I'm back to normal, or (more commonly) it goes away after 3-4 days at most.

One thing that sometimes helps is tricking my brain by lying on the sofa instead of the bed. With blankets handy. Quite often I do go to sleep, and this helps breaking the cycle.

Actually, right now I am sleeping on the sofa, because there's only one bedroom available until mine is finished and I wanted to have a door Frank could close so we wouldn't be in each other's hair all day long.

Last night I went to bed at nine thirty and I woke up at sixish (though I didn't get up till seven!). I think I may be rested, though I'm still getting the jitters from a half dose.

I constantly wake up a million times in the night -- started with hot flashes and has continued. I take my iPod to bed and listen to audiobooks and have strange dreams.

I wake up at the usual time even when I don't sleep as much....
