It's Vladmir Mayakovsly's birthday today.
One of my favorite poets, but I can only find lousy translations online. Oh well.
This one is an okay translation.
And this one is a good example of his complicated view of the Bolshevik world he lived in.
I'm brewing up a "life on the central coast" entry. A little more research first, though.
