More facebook creepiness
Okay, this is really really creepy. I just got an error message in Czech from facebook. It said that I must be logged in to continue. I was logged in. I wasn't doing anything with facebook. When I hit cancel I was still logged in. But really, facebook? Every single aspect of that was wrong. Why Czech? what did you think I wanted to do? Who did you think I was, to not be logged in?
I know exactly enough Czech to recognize that it is Czech and not Polish.
I tried to post this there and got another error box labelled in Czech. But the actual error is in English: "There was an application error. Please try again later."
I was able to fix it by logging out, switching the login page from Czech to English, and logging back in. But why did it think I was logged out when I was logged in? And who told it I had become a Czech speaker? I didn't. I mean, I do have a Czech textbook and an ilustrovany slovnik next to the computer, but I only poke at it desultorily, since I don't have the money to visit Frank this year.

Another way around this is to tell Verizon (or maybe any other service too) not to allow any third party charges.
