Halloween still has an awkward status here. In the cities, I think we're adopting it more and more in the UK, to the detriment of Bonfire Night. However, Bonfire Night is horrendously dangerous, so I'm torn between hating to see what I regard as my old traditions die and the awfulness of kids being severly burned or even killed.

Anyway, I usually end up buying a bag or two of Halloween chocolate just in case, and usually no one comes, though this year we have new neighbours a few doors away and so we had a very small vampire with his dad. :)
