I am now ready to re-do the four and a half chapters I just wrote. Not all of it needs complete re-writing. Maybe not even half of it. But all of it needs close attention before I can go on.
And yes, I am certain I can't go on before I go back. I've been failing to go on for a week -- not that I haven't written anything, but I've written very little and a lot of it is just compost if I'm lucky.
The good news is that I am ready to do this. Yesterday I was ready to shelve the thing for a week or two and go play with something else. THis morning, in fact, I started out to do just that, and decided that instead I am ready to do this.
