the hard SF doesn't fit into that list at all, indeed.
this wouldn't strike me at all as odd for personal reading preferences, btw -- my own cover everything in that list minus the romantic F (and even that's ok if we're talking regencies). i find it strange for general reader preferences though; i don't know many people who read so far across the board.
