I'm going to let it sit for a day or so and then tweak it as necessary or possible, then send it.

It finally has a name. It's working title was "The Woman Who Walked With Death" but that was when it was going to encompass a whole life, with several walks with death. Now it's just the birth thing, which is quite enough, thank you, and it's called "Sobreviva's Rap" and I have my worries about it. Sometimes it feels good -- like it's true to the medium and true to the story. Then I look at it and the rhyme and rhythm are all over the place and it's not intended to be recorded as a rap and I wonder if it's just going to look sloppy or if the people reading it will hear the beats as they read it and distort the syllables just the way a rapper would: will it be all right? Is it all right?

I'm not a fan of rap: I only like a few of them and I can't listen to it all day. Does that mean I'm unable to do a true one?

I don't know. All I know is this story wanted to be told as rap, the epic wanted to be a rap, and there it is.
