I had a general anaesthetic for the knee replacement surgery of course, and it is a bit creepy. The last thing I remember was saying to the nurse that really I didn't feel drowsy at all. Two hours later I woke up in recovery. And I have no idea what happened though something very important obviously did. I don't know if this would have occurred to me the way it did were it not for the fact that right after surgery the calf of the other leg had a very sore muscle and I wondered what on earth they'd done to me. Which led to me wondering what sort of position(s) they'd had me in for the surgery and, well, it is kind of creepy.
