Steven Brust appears to be exactly like the guys he writes about.

That must make his life difficult.

I wonder if I am exactly like the guys I write about?

Ick.

The nice thing about the mood/music dealybobber on the Livejournal pageis that it reminds to put on some damned music and drive out the earworms. I had "You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille" running through my head, alternating with "Oh don't you remember the Babes in the Wood?"

So now I have Ernst Busch singing "The Workers United Front (And Just Because He's Human)" in Spanish and German and English and French. The German is better for me, because with the Spanish and the French I keep catching bits I understand without trying, and then I try to understand the rest. In German I can only understand a little, by trying, and also because I memorized it when I was a little girl.

Which reminds me -- I do know what I want to say about the election. But it's long, so I keep putting it off.

word counts are cumulative for the day, and totals for chapters, unless I say otherwise.

I ended a conversation on a chapter-ending sort of note, but it's half as long as my other chapters, so I have to have -- what do you call it when it's an ellipsis without dots? An elision? And I'm not up to it until later, and I have other things to do.

But what I want to do is play games.
