I had a very good time at Potlatch. The writers workshop was really really useful and I wish I had people like that to meet with often. The education panel was a hoot. People said interesting things. The performance was wonderful too. People had much more interesting and critical things to say about Philip K. DIck than I would have thought. Plus, yesterday I scooted over to Clement Street and bought peavines and chive dumplings. And I brought home books for everyone and some strange tschotschkes, but not the Matroyeshka doll - I got outbid.

Yesterday morning at about six I applied almost all the insights I got from the workshop. Last night I finished the story off. Today I sent it to the Charm, Beauty and Strangeness anthology, from which I think I'm supposed to hear in July. Which means I have two stories out to Australian-located anthologies. And also today, following up on advice from Lenny Bailes, I sent off a query about doing reviews. Well, it's a query for a query for doing reviews, because I couldn't tell what to ask for. And I banged my head against the Esperanza Highway query letter.

Anybody want to look at a query letter? I'm trying not to be all synopsis and stuff, and I'm afraid it's braggy.
