I got the Esperanza Highway query from 900 words to 560-something, and now I'm letting Julian and Nicki tear it to shreds again.

Yesterday I got 350 words on the Washington Future story which does not have a name but just now I'm thinking that it ought to have to do with hijack -- because the plot thingy is about a kind of hijacking and because the protagonist gets hijacked by his conscience.

I also did a lot of the cleaning I haven't been doing for a long time, but there's much much more where that came from, and I'm not exaggerating, I can't express the depths of muck I have allowed the house to degenerate to. I have in desperation turned to drinking half a cup of the nice fellow's half-decaf dark roast in the morning, hoping I can forestall the caffeine shakes and nausea while still getting the bright eyed purposiveness it can impart to me in small enough doses. Yesterday it seemed to work. And I went to bed before midnight, so I might be on the way.

I have decided to use Charlie Stross's productivity as my measure. As in, I will make note of his production, and see if mine is closer to his than it used to be. Now, back to the story.

Edit: I only wrote a couple hundred more, but I bookmarked a bunch of maps and lists of things in Silver Spring (which is, besides the Smithsonian, the part I know a little). Now I have other things I have to do and a nice fellow who wants the computer.
