Today is Pete Seeger's birthday. He always had interesting things to say about music. life, and politics. Here's some stuff about one of his more famous songs.
It took me over a week to write the "complete synopsis." I don't get it: all the published people say they never write them, but all the agents and publishers ask for them. Neil Gaiman just said it again yesterday, or today, or something. But it was helpful -- he said something to the affect that he tells the beginning of the story and then trails off and says something like "and then some stuff happens." I got this brilliant idea: I spent maybe a page and a half on the first third of the book and less than a page on the rest, and I think it finally is sort of okay. Anyway, I'll mail it now.
And I don't think I have to do that anymore, right? I have it written and I don't think I'll lose it again and anyway I'm going to believe that this person is going to buy this book and express interest in what else I've got going.
So there.
Back to my regularly scheduled slogging through the novel whose time was supposed to have come and which I am pretty sure I won't finish till August at this rate.
