January Second, and it's Spring

Yesterday was kind of coldish. Today was balmy. The grass is over my toes. The ceanothus in my backyard is blooming full force, but to be fair it's been doing that since a couple weeks after the equinox. The dogs at Lighthouse Field were in full Spring mode -- leaping, running, thoroughly enjoying themselves, digging for gophers.

I swear Spring comes earlier every year.

Remember how last Spring I was all freaked out because I didn't see any flocks? Well, I guess I just got the timing of pairing and flocking wrong, because they're sure flocking now. Not big big flocks, but flocks.

The anthology is up, and my story just happens to be the first entry in the list. Using B1ue as a username turned out to be good for something. I forgot to thank you in the sotry itself, but I made up for it in the forum topic for the story. And I wanted to say thanks again, here.

And it's Spring already up there? We haven't even had winter yet down here. Trust me, I've been waiting.
