The Diamond Age produced as a 6-part TV miniseries by George Clooney, for the Sci-Fi Network (which is on my basic cable, unlike HBO). Stephenson doing the adaptation himself.

Not every long novel makes a good miniseries. But The Diamond Age is a damn good bet.

Woo! That sounds amazingly... non-crappy. I'm used to all my best beloveds being slaughted in the adaptation.
