So the folks at the website Talking Points Memo, Muckraker are asking for some help. I figure some of my friends have participated in distributed proofreading, or that Katrina project to help find people, so they might like to do this too. What it is, is this: there are 3,000 pages of material relating to the attorney general firings. They're being released in fifty page chunks, each with an identifying number. The chunks can be found at the site of the US House of Representatives Judiciary Committee website. What the folks at TPM Muckrakers would like is for people to download a chunk, read through it, and if you find anything interesting, post it to the TPM Muckrakers blog comments. I downloaded one, and I've looked at it, but so far it seems to be nothing but resumes and curriculum vitae of one or a couple of the attorneys in question.

There are people working on pages where information was redacted but the heavily-redacted pages backed on to other pages and the redacted bits bled through a wee bit.
It will be interesting to see what comes of all this energy.
Thanks for the hedzup, L.
