These things were so disturbing, and my schedule is so hectic, that I cannot wait to share them.

So I was on my way to Gloria's and these two guys were spraying green stuff around the apple orchards. There was a much better picture but I didn't get it in time. They kept moving, rather fast, and one guy was adamant that I shouldn't stay. I actually think it was my safety he was worried about and not scandal. I think the stuff they're spraying is entirely legal and standard. (the head-on guy you can't see is in one orchard, and the sideways guy is in the other)

One thing you might notice in these pictures is how very small the trees are. Some of the orchards are pruned this small, and others are larger. I haven't seen an orchard with natural semi-dwarf sized trees in at least five, maybe ten years.

This is the only time I've seen this particular kind of spraying. I've seen other kinds, mostly the kind that a guy carries on a backpack and treats the weeds in the raspberry field with. (Roundup?)

This last picture is just a mutant rose I saw. I can't quite figure out what plant parts are growing in the middle, or if it's just random green shapes. I think it's real parts, though, just deformed and misplaced.

Plants do this sometimes. I do not think this particular rose is a sinister portent.

I think sometimes the mutant flower thing happens when it gets insect or disease damage at a very early stage of the bud.

I'd be afraid that rose would eat me.
