it is orange

I failed to get a pumpkin, but I did get a "red kurin" squash. We'll try again tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the orange guy's subway station is the one that is trimmed in orange. How cool is that?

I want to finish this story about field botany and mutation by the end of Wednesday, because that's when the deadline is.

And finally: I can eat peas with walnuts for a similar effect to "peas&cheese" (pasta, peas, grated cheese) without the pasta. I might even like it better. But I think I ate too many walnuts today, or something.

I hate peas. (The shelled kind. Snap peas & sugar peas, otoh, are yummy.)

That's very sad. I love them all, in every form: little green peas, raw and cooked and overcooked and canned: snap peas, sugar peas, pea sprouts, pea vines, split peas, and the things that are not peas like blackeyed peas and turtle peas (iof I recall correctly that they're really just black beans).

Cabbage and peas have been the staff of my eating life this last many months. But there are other things to eat, too.
