moneymoney problems

No bank in Prague will validate a money order.

One will, but they'll sit on it for five weeks.

Anybody have any advice for getting that money order cashed so my kid can pay his rent?

I don't know about this specific question, but there are two places that come to mind for asking about it.

There's flyertalk.com's forums: while that's a site best known for airplane / airlines forums, because there are so many business travelers there they might have ideas. There's also Lonely Planet's Thorn Tree forum: travelers there often have done extended stays and might also know.
