The final word of the foreign police re Frank's visa is: leave us the hell alone, we don't want to talk to you.

So he's going to fly home and back to Czech repoublic through Germany, where they don't care that his attempt to get a long-term visa was foiled by the foreign police's profound apathy on the matter.

He says he may be required, eventually, to apply for his student visa through a different country every year.

However, he's still doing well in school and he's coming home for the summer, what more can I ask as long as they leave him alone?

Glad to hear this turned out well. Czech bureaucracy officially beats the Italian one, and that's not an easy achievement...
