I came home to find a wee little bitsy teeny dog poop on my doormat.

I think it was lovingly placed there by a neighbor who thinks my dog produced it.

But my dog only goes around the neighborhood with me, and I carry poop bags, and I clean up after her.

In case this was done by someone who has been plagued by many tiny dog poops before they resorted to this measure as a plea for consideration, I have placed a note on my door explaining this.

Unless it's a cat poop? But it looks like a dog poop, only small.

many small dog poops are smaller than the current sample of four cats I now keep. (range is from 6 to 18 pounds.) Indeed, cat poops can be alarmingly large when you think about the animal producing it.

And by small dog, I'm talking Scotch Terrier or smaller. My mom's elderly Lhasa Apso made smaller poops than many of my cats. Even though he was bigger. (And my cats eat 99% dried food. BUT even the one who gets a daily 'treat' of wet food, doesn't make much--she's 18 or so...)

She's a medium-big dog with somewhat short legs. So her poops are actually quite large!

I have a neighbor dog who leaves messages on my welcome mat if we don't use that stuff that keeps animals away. It was annoying to have to check the mat before stepping out. Who remembers to do that? I wrote it into a story of a harried mother, but the story was supposed to be for a competition and it got too long so I quit writing. I should really finish it.
