What would you name a blog about child development and childrearing, with an emphasis on babies but not confined to them?

And what platform do you suggest? I keep reading bloggers complaining about their hosts, but I don't understand the complaints. I don't want to do much that is fancy, though I'd like to illustrate the blog with photographs, and I'd like to have a (possibly moderated) comments function.

Wordpress is a good platform. Blogger isn't bad except sometimes the commenting goes wonky for some users.

WordPress serves me just fine. I'll get back to you about names.

I was going to say wordpress, too. I have a music industry blog on there, too.

I use Movable Type for my boss's blog, but I have nothing to compare it with. It works just fine for our needs.

If it were intended as a more local blog, I'd suggest "Raising California" as a pun on the movie title "Raising Arizona," but that's probably too obscure.

Just to echo what the others have said, Wordpress is reasonably easy to use and looks professional. Blogger's not too bad either and even simpler. I've started reading more blogs on Blogspot recently and you can personalise the look of the site a bit if you want to.
