Nick Mamatas is right, we can't escape irony is our lives.

Today, my personal one is

I'm supposed to be cleaning out for a colonoscopy, and I have had a return of the Dread Scourge.  So I don't really need the magnesium citrate, but I daren't not drink it.  Both bottles.

I know several people who refused the second bottle even without self-starting cleaning mechanisms, and their colonoscopies went fine. Not that I am telling you to second-guess your doctor. I'm just saying I would.

You know, there are lots of standards of true adulthood. One of the ones I've only recently come to acknowledge is that real adults talk about shit a lot.
