I'm checking in on the lunar eclipse for a few minutes at a time, every so often. I have a roommate who might have decided to watch the whole thing though she swears that eclipses cause people to be violent and chaotic for the next two weeks. She says the full moon does that too, so there you go.

For the record, I do not think that statistics bear either of these out. But lunar eclipse is pretty.

edit: naturally, the fog rolled in before the eclipse was complete.

I don't know whether it was supposed to be visible from here, but even though the sky was clear, I didn't bother to check. (I have checked now, and confirmed that it was not visible from the UK.)

So that's typical! Because there was nothing to see, the sky was totally clear. But every time there's some interesting astronomy to look at, the thick clouds form.
