Google once again assumes it can read my goddamned mind and hijacks my search as if I am a moron who doesn't know what she wants.
Seriously, DON'T DO THIS! It's okay to query "did you mean..." or to include the thing you think I want but STOP FUCKING HIJACKING MY SEARCHES. You have driven an old lady to obscenity!

[searchterm]
I actually mean
"searchterm" -[related term that's completely useless to me]
That, and the 'nearby' feature which seems to always do the opposite of what I'm looking for.
Look for 'Central Park, New York' and I get 'Hotel Central Park, Amsterdam'. Look for 'Bangor' (I'm near the Welsh one) and it gives me Bangor, Maine.
I *hate* how Google hijacks the search results and mixes them right up, so you get [searchterm] and [related term] in the same results page. Although they *do* seem to have changed their algorithm a bit: 'churches in Autun' now gives me churches in the French city, rather than a page of 'churches in autumn'. Last time I googled it, it did not, though similar things happen all the time, see above, this afternoon's edition.
