I can't find my long version synopsis. All I can find are the first couple pages of various abortive attempts. So I've been re reading the Chuy book again. Fortunately I don't hate it yet. I'm formatting it as I go, as I think of yet a new approach to writing a synopsis for the "first three and synopsis" when it's been requested. I expect to have it in the mail by Thursday.
Stupid styles and master document still don't seem to solve the page numbering problem, damnit.
I was going to go to the May Day "Reel Work" movie festival tonight but I had to go rescue a friend whose car had broken down and ended up taking her to the grocery store also, which meant that time went ticking away but -- I found almost all the Passover products I had not been able to find at my usual grocery stores. So we're loaded up on matzoh and matzoh ball mix -- which is stupid, I know, but plain matzoh meal is not to be had in Santa Cruz county for love or money. You can get matzoh cake meal, though, and mixes for things you really don't want to make from mixes ("Sweet Potato Pancake," which is not pancakes made from sweet potatoes but sweet pancakes made from potatoes). I had already gotten eggs at the correct egg store so I can have matzoh brie tomorrow. I like matzoh brie. Is it because I don't have to eat it?
I wish I had taken the camera on my afternoon dog walk. We went to DeLaveaga Park, where the mountain lion warning sign is, and there were at least four flowers I had never seen before and some others that I had not yet seen this year. Not to mention the other, non-flowering plants, like this almost-Barrayaran strap of leathery single floppy leaf -- but brilliant, verdant green, so it couldn't be Barrayaran -- growing out of mudstone and moss. I decided it was not the single leaf of some liliaceae thing, but something fernlike.
Truffle does not get used to roosters crowing.
