So, today I have been plugging away at the "complete synopsis" with some result but I'm not finished. "Complete synopsis" is such a terrifying word. How complete? this is a book of almost 600 pages. Granted, a lot of that is rhapsody, not plot, but . . .

I wish I knew what happened to the thirty-page synopsis I had, and the fifteen-page synopsis, and the five-page synopsis. Probably lost in the Grand Series of Terrifying Computer Disasters.

I think I'm writing a three-page synopsis this time though I keep realizing that I've left out something that I probably shouldn't.

...

But tonight, I get to work on The Secret Project with the band director, and tomorrow, I get to listen to the band one more time.

Thanks for the Carroll link. I'm not sure how much of the Pope in the media is actually liking the Pope, how much is celebrity-worship, how much is the belief that the public is interested, and how much is all that lovely free professionally produced footage from the Vatican, but I do know that charm doesn't make up for how destructive many of his policies are.
