plot hijack

[ritaxis]

Tiny little subplot threatens to engulf the novel. It's the subplot which has criminals in it, so maybe it would be just as well, but it's not what I want to write about.

I think I have brought it into a more disciplined relationship with the rest of the book, now.

What about giving it its own separate story, and keeping it out of the novel? (Story could be a short, of course)
