Edit:I'm sorry about this. THe link is to a page that changes and I can't find the thing that it was supposed to link to, so you'll just have to take it on faith that it was something really outrageous.


My son brought me this link just now, and it is so outrageous I feel I must share it.

Is there any question about what Fox News is all about? What they care about? I didn't think so.

But some of us still think that capitalism as a whole is benign at least, benificent at best. But this (yes, that's the same link repeated) expresses perfectly what capitalism is.

There was a time, not so long ago, when they were busy pretending they gave a fig about human issues. They don't pretend any more. I don't know if the watershed moment was before or after the Enron executives gloated about deadly wildfires in Southern California because it would drive up prices for energy.

The thing is not pretending.

Why does the Rothschild quote sound less callous? Maybe because it's more general?
