and on another front, I have realized that most people seem to use far fewer tags than I do. I guess there's at least two ways to think of tags: are they an index? In which case, like me, you want a lot of them (though I ought to clean mine up: there are redundancies and discontinuities). Or are they category headings? In which case you may want fewer of them.
