So the first wonderful discovery is that there's such a thing as a Lingdoku puzzle, which uses IPA and in addition to placing the symbols in unique positions you also have to make sure that the position and articulation of the sound represented by the symbol are neither of them repeated in a row or column.

The second wonderful discovery is that this puzzle is at a thing called the Speculative Grammarian, "the premier scholarly journal featuring research in the neglected field of satirical linguistics."


Actually: there is a third one: mint chocolate chip ice cream lurking in my freezer. I hope whoever put it there wasn't counting on having all of it to themselves.
