Jobs applied for so far -- twelve.
Interviews -- three.
Enthusiasm high on two: but "we need someone who has taken this particular class," and "we need someone who has been a pre-K teacher specifically," and both: "We'd love to have you sub." And then silence.
The other was an eleven dollar an hour job, four hours a day, so we mutually agreed that someone else would be better.
Currently my bank account has negative something in it. I have no income.
I applied for two more jobs today.
I'm working on a third application for a job kind of way outside my field but which calls for skills I do have. I am set up to be a substitute teacher, but that will take at least another week and a half to kick in, and then I'll be competing with a very large number of teachers for a small number of places.
What I really need is someone to hold my hand while I go in to the credit union to see about either a loan or a line of credit. I understand lines of credit are higher intereast, but don't you pay only on what you use? That would be useful because I could allow myself space for however long it takes to get a real job. I've cut off the cell phone and the cable, and I'll cut off the subscriptions to charitable organizations as soon as I can actually access my account (I need to go to the credit union for that too).
I'm worried about Frank because the loan money will be late in coming as usual (bot no as late as usual, apparently) and I can't send him anything. Oh well: if it gets bad for him, there are those relatives that want to support me, I'll tell them to send the money to Prague instead.
